How do I, a U.S. citizen, obtain a work visa for Windsor, ON, Canada?
I am a U.S. citizen residing in Detroit, Michigan and I want to work at The Casino Windsor, which is located 5 minutes across the U.S./Canadian border. I currently work at the Greektown Casino here in Detroit as a cook, and the Michigan Gaming Control Board laws won’t permit me to work at more than one casino IN THE STATE OF MICHIGAN only. However, I am looking for a second job and I wouldn’t mind working in Canada, especially with the recent status of the U.S. economy. (I used to “live” there a few years ago with my ex girlfriend) Anyhow, I need to know what do I have to do to obtain a work visa, what fees are involved, whether or not I need a passport, and what websites are available that could better assist me in my search.
